Assistant General Counsel
The candidate negotiates agreements for Information Technology (software, hardware, Consulting), Telecommunications, Professional Services, Facility-related Goods and Services, Nondisclosure, Letters of Intent and other similar agreements. Develops and maintains Sourcing and Procurement organization contract templates and contract-related resources for internal clients; lead sub-teams/work efforts. Conduct complex, intense negotiations with Suppliers. Develops and Delivers training to Client group on substantive legal issues. Identify, assess and implement process improvements for work group; provide similar support for client group. Provides risk counseling and business focused advice. Collaborates with other lawyers in department on risk counseling and transactions, in particular on complex areas related to one or more business units. Identify legal risk in upcoming legal/regulatory developments. Provides legal support within Office of Privacy, Technology, Information and Contract Services. Provides high level of expert advice on complex legal matters in area of responsibility and/or leading a group that provides specialized expertise. Actively identifies and logically assesses potential legal risks in ambiguous, unique, and/or complex business situations. Creates valuable risk management recommendations leveraging sound risk assessment information to further achievement of business objectives. Drafts necessary legal documents and develops conclusions and recommendations. Assists clients in addressing situations of high legal exposure or risk; understands overall business risk tolerance and considers it in the context of risk management strategies and actions. Creates practical and effective solutions to legal issues with no established precedent; develops creative solutions to unique legal problems. Takes the lead role in negotiations that are extremely complex, strategic or sensitive in nature. Understands the business client?s position and needs. Considers the long-term business and strategic consequences of possible outcomes. Delivers difficult messages or news, or challenges the client when necessary; responds to client challenges to advice directly and effectively. Establishes a wide network of relationships; builds rapport with associates at all levels within OCLO and the business client. May train or mentor less experienced attorneys or paralegals on procedural or legal issues. May be responsible for direct day-to-day OCLO departmental operations, including associate performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organizational planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions. Performs other related duties as assigned.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
