Qualifications & Responsibilities
General Statement of Duties:
Serves as a liaison between end users and the IT Department with a particular focus on the New Accounts and Authorization systems. Complete analysis and research in order to resolve business issues in regards to all systems focusing on client and call center impacts. Maintain system business rules through maintenance of on-line parameter tables. Provide solutions for the business that improve processes and/or reduce expenditures.
Examples of Duties:
Production Support
Researches general questions and issues from internal and external customers as it relates to processes
Researches and resolves production issues reported by end users using internal applications, database queries, and understanding of parameters
Provide on-call support for priority 1 and 2 tickets
New Business and Capabilities:
Participates in some phases of the Project Life Cycle for New Clients, products and system enhancements
Works with internal groups to define system requirements and design for new clients and capabilities
Subject Matter Expert for New Accounts and Authorization tables, ensuring consistency and accuracy of parameters and advising testers, clients and project managers as needed
Certify new functionality with the client
Monitors post implementation of products / enhancements
General:
Takes an active role in growth and development of self
Keeps abreast of new developments in areas of concentration to maintain the skill levels necessary to provide quality service to customers
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively in a changing environment
Highly motivated, able to use good judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team by effectively building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally
Ability to communicate accurately with all levels of technical and non-technical groups, both internal and external
Ability to prioritize work based on business needs
Exposure to cross-functional team projects in a business setting
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn through informal settings and trial and error
Knowledge of credit processing systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Education:
Associates Degree or equivalent education, certification or experience
Desirable:
Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
Ability to utilize QMF/SQL or Roscoe to query database to identify test accounts, research problems or complete testing
Understanding of DB2 tables and how information is organized in them
18 months - 2 years in retail credit environment or call center operations
Knowledge of the credit card industry regulatory environment
