Rockford Construction has an immediate need for a full-time SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR, reporting to the Director of Estimating.
In this role, you will be responsible for the estimating within the Rockford Homes Single Family brand, the maintenance of the estimating database, including but price changes, base prices, scope of work changes, new floor plan additions, and option pricing.
What you'll do:
Estimate and bid out of house specific custom change requests daily.
Estimate, update, and maintain accurate base prices across developments and floor plans.
Develop and maintain option assemblies and option pricing for all home plans.
Analyze and distribute pricing information to leadership team as needed.
Analyze sub-contractor requested cost adjustments as needed.
Review and analyze cost changes to provide and maintain accurate sales pricing and housing budgets.
Manage the bid process for new and revised home plans as needed.
Complete and verify information for reports.
Enforce company policies.
Assist in special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
What you'll need:
Minimum experience in related fields of work of at least one to three years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Administrative skills to manage daily purchasing and estimating workflow.
Preferred bachelor's degree in construction workeragement, supply chain, operations management, business administration, or related field.
Strong budget development and oversight skills.
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
