Our quickly expanding company has an immediate need for experienced multi-family rehab construction project manager to help oversee multiple rehab projects at apartment complexes in the Columbus, OH area.
Ideal candidate must be upbeat, self-motivated, able to work both independently and as a team, multi-task and demonstrate excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral.
Construction Manager
Job Description:
The prospective manager will have previous experience as a Construction Project Manager in the multi-family or general construction industry.
Some duties or functions of the job are as follows:
Must be able to scope, estimate, and manage rehab projects.
Must be able to manage employee tradesman and subcontractors for the various trades.
Reviews job scope and estimate with customer to obtain approval to begin projects.
Ensure all proper paperwork, permits, and payment schedules are in order before job begins.
Create job schedules and issue work orders to company tradesmen and subcontractors.
Maintains excellent communication with customer throughout the entirety of the job.
Review and sign off on all work completed by subcontractors.
Ensures that any quality issues are quickly resolved.
Proactive daily review of job with management.
Skills and/or Knowledge Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of building, rehab and construction including materials and methods needed to complete projects.
Ability to control costs without sacrificing quality.
Ability to read plans and blueprints.
Ability to manage, motivate, guide, and direct subordinates.
