Summary:
At Ohio CAT, a Serviceman is a Heavy Equipment Technician, and we are looking to add to our team! As an Ohio CAT Technician you will troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy equipment, engines, drive-train components, and electrical and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing and maintaining, overhauling, and rebuilding engines and/or heavy equipment components, such as torque convertors, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and much more.
In a Technician position at Ohio CAT, you will have the satisfaction of keeping our customers working, and contributing to building the world around you! REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
Two - Three years' experience related to construction or power equipment/diesel engine service, rebuild and repair is required.
General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or power equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial.
Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers' updates, as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb.
Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines Dexterity Normal Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
