The Job:
SmartStart Education seeks an experienced special education teacher and support staff member to work with high school students Monday-Friday at a special education school in Columbus, OH.
The school provides services for special education and alternative learners, K-8.
The school is specifically designed for students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and related disorders.
The high school seeks a special education support staff who can teach ELA.
The classes contain no more than 18 students with additional staff supporting throughout the day.
Job Details:
The position begins ASAP and ends on May 24, 2024.
The schedule will be 6:
45am through 2:
45pm.
The schedule is set by our partnering schools and cannot be modified.

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any field is mandatory.

Experience working with students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and related disorders.
Demonstrate experience of at least one year in teaching or tutoring, either within a school environment or another educational setting.
Comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by urban students, schools, and communities, encompassing racial disparity, socio-economic disparity, and cultural disparity.
Mastery of concepts and skills, substantiating proficiency in the subject matter.
Display of genuine passion and unwavering commitment towards fostering the success of students.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, although not required.
Exemplary punctuality, ensuring timely attendance and adherence to established schedules.
Proficiency in communication skills, enabling effective and articulate interaction with students, colleagues, and interested parties.
Ability to comfortably commute to the designated location.

Pay:
$31.
42/ hour plus a $100 completion bonus for every month worked! Bring a friend and earn a $500 referral bonus!.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
