Credentialing and privileging physicians, dentists, and allied health professionals for NCH, all subsidiaries, and Partners for Kids.Credentialing is the process that involves verifying the individuals information within the application packet. For example, all state licenses; DEA; education; training; peer references; work history; hospital affiliations; past/current disciplinary actions, criminal background checks; malpractice history; society memberships, national practitioner data bank, gaps, etc. Privileging is the process to be granted approval to provide care and services to patients based on demonstrated competence within the individual's scope of practice.

Responsibilities
Initiates process and follows through with credentialing functions for new practitioners and allied health professionals for NCH and its subsidiaries, Partners for Kids, and community practitioners.
Initiates process and follows through with credentialing functions for reappointment of practitioners and allied health professionals for NCH and its subsidiaries, partners for Kids, and community practitioners
Maintains over 11,000 documents to ensure timely renewals, e.g. medical/dental/nursing licenses; DEA; malpractice insurance; special certifications; TB; standard care arrangements; board status; etc.
Initiates process for change of status, changes in section/department appointments, leave of absence, resignations, changes with delineation of privileges for practitioners and allied health professionals
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma
Basic typing skills and working knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft Windows
Experience communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Must be able to perform in a fast pace work environment and meet project deadlines
Strong customer service and data entry skills
Experience with verifying information and analyzing documentation

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
