The ERP Risk & Automation Services (ERAS) assists with various consulting, internal, and external audit clients by bringing in-depth ERP, data analytics (DA), and automation skills where needed.
As part of the RSM s Risk Consulting practice, the specialty service provides complex data analysis and automation services for both external and internal clients, assists in data governance assessments, implements continuous auditing and monitoring programs, performs controls designs/assessments, segregation of duties assessments, key report testing and validation, and data conversion validation.
The ERAS - Data Analytics Manager is responsible for managing a team that scopes, designs, develops and deploys systems and processes for independently validating the integrity of data and supporting governance processes, including:
a) assessing the completeness/accuracy of key reports, b) validating the integrity of data conversion activities as part of an ERP system implementation, and c) evaluating the maturity and viability of an organizations overall data governance strategy and processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage and provide quality assurance for team members supporting projects as described aboveClarify and communicate analytic design and automation requirements to team members who will be developing solutions, and step in as needed to code and develop these solutions (this is a hands-on manager role, and you may need to step in cases where other resources are not available)Manage communication with IT and/or business resources to locate internal and external data for analysis, understand data, and make data requests or direct connections to databasesChampion sustainable analytic design conceptsPerform QA over developer practices for data mapping, data transformations, data joining/blending, data quality, data cleansing, and other data movement related activitiesTroubleshoot dashboards, analytics, and scripts, as necessaryProvide guidance to both internal and external stakeholders on interpreting analytic resultsProvide analytic and automation subject matter expertise during business development pursuitsScope DA-related projects and determine whether local or national resources provide the best solution, and liaise with national practice resources, as neededPresent analytics and automation thought leadership at professional association meetings and conferencesCoordinate data analytic services with off-shore resources in RSM USICoach/mentor and manage staff on data analytic techniques and client deliverablesPosition Requirements:
Experience managing a team that develops analytic and automation routines for audit and compliance professionals, with a particular emphasis on data quality and governanceAbility to identify the solution the client needs (vs.
what they have asked for), and create the business case for the best solution within stated resource constraintsExperience communicating the value proposition of analytics and automation (for audit and compliance professionals)Experience with SOX, COSO, COBIT and other related controls methodology and frameworksUnderstanding basic accounting, operations and auditing concepts and reporting skillsStrong analytical mindset and communication skillsProactive, inquisitive and creative in approach to workAbility to travel 10-20%Minimum
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in MIS, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or Accounting, or equivalent level of educationMinimum of 6 years of experience, ideally within the compliance or audit spaceMinimum of 2 years experience leading or managing a team of developersExperience using other industry standard data analysis technologies such as SAS, Alteryx, SQL, and/or PythonExperience developing and/or managing dashboard solutions created using PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar technologiesPreferred
Qualifications:
Experience with data analytics of large ERP applications such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or JD EdwardsExperience working with data from cloud-based applications like Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Concur is a plusBusiness development experience is a plusCISA, CIA, CFE, and/or CPACertifications in one or more data analysis technologies such as Alteryx, SAS, and/or TableauStandards of Performance:
