The candidate should be highly competent at developing and executing strategic communication plans, and able to manage internal communication programs and initiatives that educate, motivate, and engage colleagues. The ability to write exceptionally well for various audiences is imperative. The candidate will also be expected to have an extensive knowledge of effective internal communication and HR communications practices and proven experience in managing relationships with leaders in other business segments. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic communication plans and manage internal communication programs and initiatives that educate, motivate, and engage colleagues. Develop creative briefs, executive summaries, newsletters, talking points, presentations, and frequently asked questions (FAQs). Draft, manage, and distribute company internal communications including news, organizational announcements, corporate policies, and crisis management through the use of text, images, audio and video as appropriate. Collaborate across Corporate Communications team to generate compelling content that regularly engages 20,000 colleagues corporate-wide with relevant news, information and inspiring stories. Think creatively about how to shape and refine the voice of the colleague experience aligned to HR's model to engage, develop, retain, and attract top talent while also providing counsel to leaders on appropriate channels for message delivery (Essentials, email, video, Yammer, etc.). Establish strategic consultation partnership with support segments to provide guidance on effective messaging; develop various enterprise-wide and targeted communications; and collaborate with internal partners deliver communication solutions for emerging issues. Support Total Rewards, Talent Management, Culture, Learning & Development, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion communications and Internal Communications events Collaborate with internal content creators to develop, obtain approval and publish content on the corporate intranet. Design customized web landing pages and other templates for corporate intranet. Create and administer surveys to measure colleague engagement; analyze survey responses and provide executive summaries and insights for follow-up action. Work with IT team to create moderated distribution lists and independently send emails from delegated mailboxes. Coordinate periodic risk management activities including internal audits and risk assessments. Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations or English is required 8-10 years of professional communications experience (at least half of which involved significant internal communications for a medium to large organization); experience in the banking/financial services industry is preferred Must possess superior writing, editing, speech writing and/or presentation development, project management and problem-solving skills. Must understand Huntington's priorities, key business issues, and industry trends and apply that understanding in communicating with audiences. Must have engaging writing style, including ability to put complex concepts into plain-English, user-friendly copy. Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) Web content management skills and familiarity with Google Analytics Proficiency with video production, desktop publishing and emerging technologies Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to drive programs from inception to completion Experience building relationships with key partners throughout the organization Ability to manage and prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced communications department Preferred
Qualifications:
Team player with capability to succeed in collaborative work environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus, diffuse conflict. Connector who capitalizes on opportunities to paint a consistent picture across all HR functions and programs. Comfortable with ambiguity and has the ability to embrace and promote change enthusiastically.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
