9 Quick Apply 7 hours ago Full Job Description Diabetes Dayton Administrative and Community Relations Associate Summary Statement:
Reports to the Executive Director of Diabetes Dayton and is responsible for the daily administrative office duties as well as assists with the community relation duties for the agency.
Office Administration Answers phone in a timely, friendly manner and sees to clients' needs as appropriate.
Serves as initial point of contact for agency programs and services Manage the inventory for the Diabetes Emergency Supply Pantry (DESAP) and assist clients with DESAP needs.
Handle requests and verification for the Emergency Insulin Program, coordinate with partner pharmacies to ensure timely payment of invoices Reply to memorial and other donor contributions as well as requests for information in a timely manner.
Process mail and make bank deposits Ensures that the necessary day to day office supplies are on hand; inventory is maintained.
Client Service and Relations Assists clients in a friendly, helpful manner while providing them an understanding about their supplies.
Offers DESAP client information about additional community and agency resources available to them.
Assist as needed at Health Fairs and events, makes public aware of agency services.
Assists community by scheduling speakers, health fairs or filling information requests or appropriate referral.
Oversee volunteers for the food pantry, DESAP and other volunteer needs Community Relations In conjunction with other LCA departments, coordinate agency program and event flyers, brochures, appeals and newsletters.
Collaborate with the marketing on advertisements for print media and special publications based upon event or agency needs, Order approved educational materials and/or handouts.
Update website as needed Handle social media for Diabetes Dayton programs and services As needed, present on Diabetes Dayton programs and service to community groups Event Assistance Assists as needed with planning and implementation of the agency's fundraising events.
Assists with evaluation at the conclusion of the event.
Other Knowledge of diabetes preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation required.
This position will have limited nights and weekends.
Requirements:
3 Years office administrative experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (excellent grammar and spelling), must be very proficient in Word, Excel, & Publisher, as well as social media, & website maintenance.
Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented, maintain a professional appearance and be comfortable working with clients from varied socio-economic and demographic backgrounds.
