4 Quick Apply Full-time 7 hours ago Full Job Description Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Materials Analyst/Scheduler for work being done in our Polymer Division.
Analyst duties will include planning and ordering of packaging/raw materials to satisfy production schedules while maintaining the appropriate levels of inventory based on forecast.
Fundamental Job Tasks Supports customer satisfaction by maintaining appropriate inventory.
Organizes and maintains an effective inventory level of raw materials.
Orders materials from approved suppliers as needed.
Manages inventory levels and establishes reorder points for raw material to support weekly production schedules.
Works with other departments to determine purchasing needs.
Communicates with customer service and Distribution on direct shipments with carriers.
Maintains proper inventories of finished goods by scheduling production based on sales forecast.
Prepares production schedules.
Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Arranges orders into a sequential work schedule.
Examines production specifications and capacity data, and performs calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
Tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules, makes necessary modifications to schedules, issuing orders to the appropriate department due to revisions.
Supports departmental objectives by accurate record-keeping.
Processes receivers from purchase requisitions, packing slips, and invoices to the Purchasing and Accounting Departments.
Maintains proper inventories of finished goods by scheduling production based on sales forecast.
Prepares production schedules.

Knowledge and Skills College degree in Logistics, Accounting, Operations Management or related field and five (5) years work experience in materials management, logistics, or supervision is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
APICS certification is also preferred.
Required technical skills include:
Advanced experience working with spreadsheets and ERP systems.
Good understanding of supervisory principles and practices, and has knowledge of common business practices.
Working Conditions This position generally performs work within a standard office environment.
On occasion (5-15% of the time), it is required that this position be in the warehouse areas, subjected to noise and temperature variation.
When in such environments, this position is required to wear the appropriate eye, ear, head, and foot protection (PPE).
