4 Quick Apply 1 hour ago Full Job Description As an International Shipping, Trade Compliance Specialist you are responsible for arranging the domestic and international transport of goods related to all international orders.
This includes monitoring and documenting compliance activities, advising leadership on compliance matters, and liaising with government agencies.
This is done through close partnerships with Vendors, Sales, Supply Chain, Customers and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely product delivery.
Responsibilities:
Monitor shipments and customs clearance for ADB Safegate Americas for those orders that are produced/consolidated within ADB Safegate Americas facility.
When needed identify and remove obstacles that would block shipment; or escalate when obstacles can't be removed.
Coordinate logistics as interface to broker/forwarder for shipping lines, drayage companies and warehouses, including generation of the necessary paperwork for these orders and management of the deliveries to the appropriate recipients.
Oversee the Invoicing process for these orders to ensure appropriate execution, accounting for Letters of Credit and other restrictions on the order.
Assist in the development of monthly forecasts by identifying the orders that should ship and invoice for a period of time related to international shipping and/or affiliate business.
Interface with affiliate locations for coordination of deliveries that will be consolidated.
Coordination with the Supply Chain team, Sales and other ADB affiliates for Open Orders tracking and other communication.
Work with warehouses, brokers and transportation providers to ensure streamlined procedures in line with our business and products.
Support strategic supply chain to select vendors and negotiate competitive pricing for logistics services if applicable for specific orders Letter of Credit (LOC) review, approval and administration.
Review and manage the deadlines associated with orders requiring a LOC; To include but not limited to:
Contract's Last shipment Date, LOC expiration Date and any other specific requirements tied to Sales Orders for the international regions.
Manage all freight vendors, NMFC, customs and any other parties affiliated with international freight, including approval of all freight invoices.
Responsible for all visual compliance checks necessary for the Americas.
Management of all HTS, ECCN, NAFTA, ADD, CVD, and all processes related both internally and with third party vendors.
Responsible for regular review of product classifications according to the World Customs Organization, Canada, and US Harmonized Tariff Schedule, along with classification of any new products or materials.
Ensures screening procedures are set up correctly in the ERP-System.
Ensuring Customs processes are documented and standardized for service consistency.
Manage Companies customs brokerage process and hold Broker Quarterly Business Reviews Participate in Customs inquiries and help to prepare responses.
Manage and control Customs broker(s) to ensure trade compliance.
Assist with regular audits, including valuation, classification, import taxes.
Work with Strategic VP for Compliance initiatives to develop, implement and maintain fit-for-purpose processes, controls, and training as they relate to Customs Compliance Assist in the development of the trade compliance audit program.
Designing, auditing, and continuously improving SOPS and training teams on new processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Chain related field and/or 5-7 years' experience in material coordination, Logistics (including International), Compliance, Audit or industry-related experience.
LCB, CCS certifications preferred.
Requires practical ability to recognize an obstacle and be willing to consult with manager on approach to be taken.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, especially in client-facing contexts as well as ability to work in teams.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities Prolific in Microsoft Office products & SAP Team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work within cross-functional teams Ability to thrive in pressure-filled situations with aggressive timelines Have a cross cultural understanding and be able to work with colleagues globally Spoken and written English fluency is required, with the ability to speak and write Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and or Chinese a plus.
