Summary:
The CND Security Officer will provide safety and security to clients, visitors, and employees at the Outpatient Treatment Clinic by performing hourly perimeter checks inside and outside of the building including the agency parking lots.
De-escalate crisis situations as they arise to ensure the safety of both the clients, visitors, and employees.
Essential Functions:
1.
Conduct hourly patrols inside/outside areas to detect and respond appropriately to safety and/or security issues.
2.
Conduct perimeter checks in the parking lots hourly.
3.
Intervenes in interpersonal conflict safely and effectively to maintain order on the premises.
4.
Ensure staff, visitors and clients follow COVID procedures and adhere to CND Mask policy.
5.
Assist with delivery of supplies as needed.
6.
Ensure staff sign in/out daily.
7.
Maintain order at the Front Desk to ensure clients are not gathering at the window.
8.
Maintains all appropriate documentation as required.
9.
Assist with monthly and quarterly safety drills.
10.
Monitor and track weapons on CND log sheet.
11.
Monitor suspicious behavior and/or activity and document incidents as required.
12.
Provide staff escorts to parking after hours.
13.
Responds to internal disaster incidents and provides appropriate assistance as needed.
14.
Performs other duties as assigned to promote the overall mission and vision of CND and other areas outside your normal assignments deemed necessary by the VP/COO.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital or behavioral health facility.
Experience with security, fire safety, or related field.

Computer Skills Proficient in use of personal computer and related software (e.

Other Requirements Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license; must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
