Summary:
The Creative Operations Specialist works closely with the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and Creative Leadership to support the day-to-day operational needs of the creative team.
The work includes managing and improving processes and workflows, capacity planning, resourcing, projecting of upcoming work, building and analyzing data, and leading discussions with creative partners on a daily basis.
This role thrives as the hub of the creative team and is valued as the team's go-to resource on strategic priorities and project details.
The Creative Operations Specialist is adept at collaborating with designers, writers, photographers/stylists, production specialists, business partners, and vendors, bringing the best out of each interaction.
Reports to:
Senior Manager, Marketing Operations Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage and allocate the creative resources on all creative projects for DSW and Vince Camuto for a team of 20
creative individuals.
Includes but not limited to Marketing Collateral (Print & Digital) & Product Packaging.
Management of these projects and resources will involve closely managing their capacity, creative tasks, timelines, priorities & next steps.
Identify project concerns, conflicts, and delays, and proactively facilitate conversations between internal groups to discuss and resolve those concerns.
Highly analytical, can tap into department and system data and forming insights to proactively find areas of opportunity and improvement for workflow, automation, efficiency, productivity, cost savings, and first-in-class creative execution.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Ensure briefs received from Marketing are clear in terms of requirements before being delivered to our creative teams.
Ability to work on complex projects of all scopes and sizes while managing multiple projects at one time.
Lead weekly meetings for the creative team to ensure all projects are on track and address breakdowns and blocks to success.
Closely track deliverables on a daily basis.
Primary point of contact between creative and internal teams.
Own creative workflows, processes, and timelines, creating checkpoints and reviewing schedules with cross-functional partners as needed.
Optimize the workflows, processes between cross-functional teams, and technology involved in creative work.
Own creative team meetings & agendas to develop next step action items/follow-ups for creative team as needed.
Document and distribute project status to stakeholders and leadership.
Partner with Martech on incorporating new processes, tools and workflow systems.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention-to-detail and ability to manage multiple projects & tasks simultaneously.
Ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical including ability to lead through influence.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
Understanding of creative tools, tech, and mindset.
The optimal candidate will have a balance of left and right brain intuition.
Strong emotional intelligence skills with the ability to understand, use, and manage emotions in positive ways to communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team of peers.
Ability to effectively manage business relationships at all levels.
Job will require managing up and linear.
Comfortable managing conflicts and negotiation.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfort with use of technology (MS Off ice, web-based tools, etc.
), Adobe programs (eg.
Adobe Creative Suite) for day-to-day tasks.
Prior experience with Workfront a plus.
Minimum
Experience:
1-2 years in a related field; traffic, project management, resource planning.
Fluent in Marketing Resource planning and management tools Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience with managing projects preferred.
Experience working with a Creative & Cross Functional Marketing Teams.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree required in related discipline.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
