07/24/2023Summary WHO ARE WE?FCDC is a shared-services IT shop for most Franklin County agencies.
We provide a range of IT services from live Help Desk support, to servers, storage, networking, web and mobile app development, database management, IT purchasing, cloud apps and services, and security consulting.
FCDC has about 80 employees, but we're growing (we've doubled in size in the last 3 years).
Our Enterprise Information Security team provides Identity Management, Security Engineering, Data Loss Prevention, and Security Operations services supporting users, teams, and major applications across the County.
Though we're proudly part of local government, our culture is not what you might expect.
We think strategically and act quickly, like any other IT professional services firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities WHO ARE WE SEEKING?Information Security is expanding our Data Loss Prevention program and we are looking for someone who is exited about data and securing it.
Our ideal Data Loss Prevention Engineer will have hands-on Data Loss Prevention solution experience and strong leadership skills.
They must develop strong relationships with agency partners and utilize wide-ranging analytical skills to dig into business processes and functions.
While the role will certainly be challenging at times, we think this might just become the best job of your career.
Key skills and experiences we want to see in candidates:
Clear understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CSF, CIS, etc.
) Working knowledge of security incident response handling procedures, incident management, and incident remediation Ability to convey security capabilities in business terms Working knowledge of FTI, CJIS, HIPAA, and other data Privacy regulations Familiarity with PowerShell, with the ability to us it for routine tasks or research Understanding and ability to review access controls on varying types of devices, network shares, mailboxes, and security solutions Awareness of application development lifecycle and sensitive data security implications Capacity to gather metrics to assess Data Protection service effectiveness and performance Ability to research data within security solutions to support incident response activities Wide-ranging understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure solutions Subject matter expert for the data loss prevention solution Desire to collaborate with enterprise infrastructure teams to build and maintain data loss prevention solutions and controls Exceptional ability to execute and drive change Ability to effectively respond to standard support and service requests from end users and peers Ability to write clear technical documentation for end users, peers, and client IT contacts.
