The Adjutant General's Department is looking for an experienced Electronic Design Specialist (Temporary/Part-Time) to assist in the front-end development and maintenance of Ohio National Guard websites and creation of support images and files for sites and various other digital platforms.
You will work on a wide range of projects, obtaining input from managers and project leads to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the organization appropriately using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of the following:
Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with departments on a wide range of projects that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, presentations, internal communications, newsletters, or marketing materials Work independently as well as cooperatively with team to meet deadlines and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include several simultaneous projects.
Design, build, and maintain interface design wireframes and webpages for the Ohio National Guard websites hosted on State of Ohio OIT/State Web Hosting (SWH) servers using HTML, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and CSS code.
Establish and maintain a strong, organized file system for temporary and permanent use using Microsoft platforms (Windows, Excel, Teams).
Adapt to processes to complete tasks, understanding the challenges of our multiple technology platforms.
Work with departments to identify effective ways to illustrate and communicate their vision while complying with established site structure.
Create digital assets (.
jpg,.
gif,.
png, and.
pdf) for websites, social media platforms and stand-alone products using design and prototyping tools in the Adobe Create Suite (including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator) as well as Microsoft Office (including Word and PowerPoint).
Develop effective, functional forms based on user-interfaced best practices that translate into a well-organized, functional database.
Create templates for email newsletters.
Translate documents into portable document formats (.
PDFs) for linking in websiteSPECIFIC SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE NEEDED:
Web-BasedHTML, Bootstrap, JavaScript, CSS, Filedrop system, File Transfer Protocol (like Filezilla or WinSCP), Email marketing platforms (such as GovDelivery, iContact, or similar), Form creation software (such as Google Forms or Survey Monkey).

Completion of undergraduate core program in visual communications with emphasis on graphic design/industrial design and/or fine arts & Demonstrate at least 24 mos.

Completion of associate core program in graphic visual communication technology or multimedia production technology & Demonstrate at least 36 mos.

Demonstrate the equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For employment noted above.
Additional Skillsets Demonstrate a strong eye for visual design and good design principles with a strong portfolio.
Understand process of concept to production in web design, advertisement, or multimedia design utilizing marketing principles and established corporate identity when developing graphics for websites and/or social media platforms.
Demonstrate use of best practices for website user interface and design principles with portfolio of sites you have developed/maintained.
Have proficient knowledge in use of HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, and JavaScript Be able to build effective, functional forms based on best practices of user interfaces that translate into well-organized, functional databases.
Possess effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects, using strong organizational skills with a file system for temporary and permanent use using Microsoft platforms.
Understand the concept of the Innovate Ohio Platform.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
