The Compensation Analyst performs a variety of analytical tasks to support the Worthington Industries compensation philosophy, while maintaining market competitive compensation structures.
This position is responsible for studying and analyzing hourly, salaried and management positions to make sure the company is maintaining current trends.
This role conducts and participates in compensation surveys facilitated by third party vendors or by other companies.
The Analyst performs numerous tasks including annual market reviews; overseeing merit processes; developing, updating and maintaining compensation structures; ad hoc market reviews related to new or changing roles; providing annual employee communications, and more.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical communicator with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
ResponsibilitiesProvides compensation analysis and offer letters for salaried new hires, promotions, position changes, etc.
Provides guidance to mangers consistent with the Company's compensation philosophy regarding compensation issues.
Completes special requests/projects as needed.
Maintains external market survey database matches.
Participates in external market survey questionnaires to reduce data costs.
Evaluates and recommends surveys to be included in market comparisons.
Assists with annual market reviews for the hourly and salary groups.
Assists with merit processes and recommendations for merit budgets for the hourly and salary groups.
Recommends structural changes to account for shifts in market compensation.
Evaluates roles and responsibilities and recommends placement of new and modified positions in the compensation structure based on market value, internal equity and proper FLSA classification.
Audits and maintains appropriate job and grade classifications in HRIS system.
Assists in developing and maintaining WI compensation policies and procedures and overall compensation structures.
Recommends pay practice and program changesOther duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
