High School Diploma Skills:

-1 year experience in the special education preferred -Meets all mandated health requirements & board policies - BCI & FBI background check updated per board policies -Achieve Strategies in Action certification from OCALI upon hire -Ability to implement Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) physical safe holds as needed -Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) yearly certification -Attend district wide PD (e.
g.
, early release, staff meetings) -10 hours of online ParaEductor modules/quarter -CPR & First Aid training -Weekly 1 hour team meeting with the student(s) Intervention Specialist -Attend the IEP meeting(s) of the students served by the paraprofessional -Attends trainings regarding student needs, as necessary -An active collaborator with parents, IS, related service personal, general education teachers, and administrators.
-Collect daily data on student(s) according to parameters set by the Intervention Specialist -Enter data into the computer each week, as needed -Provides 1:
1, small group, and whole group instruction regarding academics, behavior, social skills, and general life skills according to plans created by the Intervention Specialist and IEP team.
Utilizes prescribed evidenced based strategies to promote the independence, academic engagement, and social inclusion of students in the school setting.
-Facilitates meaningful relationships with other students -Follows prescribed behavior plans and written instructional strategies -Material preparation as prescribed for specific student(s) whom working with -Other duties as assigned by the general education teacher, Intervention Specialist, related service personnel, and administrators.
-Lunch and bus time supervision, as needed -Enters absences into the AESOP system & informs school team of absence position doesn't include benefits 28 hrs weekly Job Type:
