About Us The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) a cabinet-level agency within the executive branch of the Ohio state government.
The director of ODA is a member of the Governor's cabinet, serving as principal advisor and advocate for 2.
8 million older adults and their families.
Through services, supports, and activities that cover a wide spectrum of issues, ODA strives to achieve its mission to foster sound public policy, research, and initiatives that benefit older Ohioans.

About the Division The Information Systems Division (ISD) provides for the technological needs of the department and the aging network, which consists of more than 25,000 users.
The core teams within the division are:
Technology Management - design, implement, and support the department's primary network as well as specialized information infrastructures (i.
e.
, endpoint devices, network connectivity, AV equipment, databases, applications, communications) for agency programs and entities; purchase, configure, and maintain desktop and network computer equipment and software systems for the department and provide help desk services; user management; data analytics roadmap and data practice; data security, compliance, and governance.
Business Services - project management; facility management, including maintenance of office space, furniture and equipment; records retention; telecommunications services.
Application Development - build, design, test, implement, and monitor software applications.

ODA is looking for a talented and trustworthy individual to serve as the agency's Data Security and Governance Manager.
Reporting to the Assistant Chief on the N etwork Operations team in collaboration with ISD leadership, you will be instrumental in leading and administering ODA's data security and governance.
This will include network, data base, data practice, and applications that serve older Ohioans and people with disabilities, their families and caregivers, Long-Term Care facilities' residents and staff, and the Aging Network.
This is a hybrid eligible position with manager approval; up to three days from home with two days in the Columbus office.
Key functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Oversee agency's data security and governance implementation Manage, maintain, and implement data security and governance roadmap Lead the data security and governance function across agency, ensuring consistent data security and governance management that is supportive of the business goals.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on data privacy, governance, protection, and operations (e.
g.
, protection, preparedness) to business leaders, engineers, and technical and operational teams Monitor compliance with Federal, State, and agency specific data protection policies.
Ensure appropriate data security and governance standards are operationalized Evaluate integrity of tools and mechanisms on a continuous basis Develop, implement, and manage internal controls(e.

About You Our ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge and
Experience:
Program and/or Project Management Infrastructure Security Software Development Data Security and Implementation (e.
g.
, Technology Compliance Framework, NIST, OWASP) Scripting Language Programs (e.
g.
- Power Shell, WMI) Risk Management Experience with Agency Policies and Procedures, Government Structure and Process, and/or Public Relations is valued.
