HR Generalist - Germain Automotive Partnership


Job Description:
The Human Resource Generalist will assist in supporting the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including, benefits, leave, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leave; disciplinary matters, investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, morale; and recruiting/onboarding.
Review background/MVR/drug screens and adjudicate per company policy.
Review onboarding paperwork for accuracy.
Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding.
Update records to accommodate new hires and changes in employee status.
Backs up the Corporate Recruiter with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
May be required to attend career fairs and HR events on behalf of Germain Automotive Partnership.
Manages benefit inquiries and execution of the benefit plans.
Assists in investigations of employee complaints and provides a response to the findings.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Respond to employee eligibility verifications.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Research new trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Travels to various dealerships in Ohio to ensure HR presence.
Occasional travel to Florida and Michigan when needed.
Assist with HR events, i.

, benefits open enrollment, health fairs and company off-site events.
Provides weekly HR updates during leadership meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least three years of human resources experience preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
