We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to act as lead supervisor in the field overseeing the construction of individual or multiple projects located in a specific geographic area.
The successful candidate will have hand skills and the ability to strap on tools and self perform some carpentry related items, but also the ability to remove the tools and oversee coordination of subcontractors, inspections, and scheduling to ensure a safe, professional, and on-time delivery of each project.
Sullivan Builders will provide a best practices manual for field operations, but will rely on the analytical thinking skills of this candidate to move projects from ground breaking through punch out.
Responsibilities:
Understand residential and commercial construction sequence Read and interpret construction drawings / blueprints Coordinate subcontractors / labor needs to ensure no down days of production Ensure quality craftsmanship and quality installation of each component of the build process Maintain a safe, professional work environment Engage with clients to answer questions or concerns that arise in the construction process Willingness to use phone/tablet to respond to email with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors Provide daily photographs and reports on progress from the field Desire to grow in their career and complexity of project oversight Skills:
Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman Familiarity with construction processes and sequence Outstanding communication and emotional intelligence Thoughtfulness, thoroughness, and reliability Excellent organization skills Degree in Construction Management a plus, but not required Work Remotely No Job Type:
