Description-30% Clinical time 70% Administrative Time Outpatient position:
No weekends Join an established outpatient Addiction Medicine practice that includes experienced Addiction Medicine Specialists, nurse practitioners, counselors, therapists, recovery coaches and case managers Our physicians believe in the comprehensive treatment of substance use disorder and utilize best practices in the treatment of this chronic devastating disease.
This physician led practice includes behavioral health support, medication assisted treatment and treatment of co-occurring disorders as well Hepatitis C.
Our practice serves patients from all cultures and economic backgrounds and accepts all payor types Teach and mentor physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the specialty Opportunity to participate in academic research Opportunity to participate in regularly scheduled educational conferences for clinical staff Opportunity to participate and lead quality care initiatives that positively impact patient outcomes Opportunity to participate in development and establishment of quality measures that improve patient outcomes QualificationsQualifications Demonstrated commitment and compassion to patients with substance dependence Servant Leader Addiction Medicine fellowship training preferred.
Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Internal Medicine, or Psychiatry-trained candidates with experience in Addiction Medicine are welcome to apply 1-2 years' experience in Medical Leadership and Healthcare Management Active state license and controlled substance registration in the state where practicing Active State and controlled substance License Demonstrated ability for interpersonal and communication skills Superiororganizational skills Computer fluency- EMR experience and proficiency required Professionalism in all communications internally and externally Team player with high adaptability.
Ability to supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants Performance
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for assigned state or geographical region Participate and help develop quality initiatives for the company.
Lead implementation in geographic region Provide supervision to APRNs or PAs Consult in complex patient decision Lead a weekly or otherwise regularly scheduled interdisciplinary treatment meeting (IDT) to review patients for the purposes of clinical decision-making disposition and education.
Provide on-site consultation to part time physicians.
Complete clinical notes at the end of each workday.
Complete co-signatures regularly Maintain all licenses, certifications, and credentialing Participate in referral development events Manage and participate in quality and performance metrics impacting the center Any and all other tasks or projects, as assigned.
