We are searching for a candidate who is detail-oriented and understands the estimating process.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will be keys to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Analyze required documents, blueprints, and construction plans to gain a thorough understanding of roofing projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors.
Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or products.
Manage bids from vendors and contractors, preparing material and cost estimates for the product or service Assess factors like labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential construction setbacks.
Create labor estimates for projects.
Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis.
Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.
Lead deciding construction project timelines.
Compile, record, and track actual costs
Qualifications:
5-8 years in construction estimating or closely related work.
Experience in roofing, construction or closely related fields.
Experience in Bid management and cost estimating.
Project management experience is a plus.
Experience using industry software.
Computer system proficiency.
