Summary:
The Behavior Support Facilitator assists with comprehensive behavior management services to students who are at risk of suspension and expulsion.
The primary role of the position is to provide students with structured learning opportunities that promote essential skill development for successful interpersonal relationships and emotional regulation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates sound judgement and emotional stability.
Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others.
Ensures the safety of students.
Interacts with staff, students, and the community in a positive and respectful manner.
Maintains compliance with district, state and federal regulations.
Creates an atmosphere that results in optimal growth for student behavior.
Implements individual behavior management skill work, utilizing evidence-based social and emotional learning tools.
Provides a structured environment during the school day for students to complete academics as well as participate in replacement behavior instruction.
Collects and monitors data on student progress through regular touch bases with at-risk students to ensure their continued success.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and protected student information.
Reinforces behavior plans and behavior expectations.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
