What You'll Do:
The Bureau of Vital Statistics operates a statewide system for the registration of births, deaths, and other vital events that happen within the state of Ohio.
We are currently seeking an experienced customer service specialist to provide information and communicate procedures to obtain or amend vital records.
This job entails the following tasks:
Researches and determines action needed in resolving complex problems, questions and complaints pertaining to pending or finalized legal actions, the initial registration of vital events, and status of pending inquiry Provides technical assistance to electronic data users including local health departments, coroners, funeral homes and hospitals Reviews legal documents for completeness and accuracy, handles emergency requests and protects the privacy of confidential information of all Vital Statistics records Emails business partners and makes updates in the Integrated Public Health Information System/Electronic Death Registration System support site, as needed Prepares routine customer service letters and forms (e.
