Full Time / Exempt ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES The Energy Coordinator is responsible for performance of assigned responsibilities.
The Energy Coordinator shall project an image commensurate with assigned responsibilities and in keeping with the professional and academic nature of the operation of META Solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Performs oversight and coordination of energy program duties that facilitate effective administrative operations Uses independent judgment and takes initiative to perform tasks independently Identifies and implements procedures to improve productivity Performs energy audit responsibilities monthly and verifies calculations of billing and application of appropriate fees and rates Compares consumption of utilities to historical data and identifies unusual consumption patterns Identifies and resolves billing and/or rate errors Creates and provides annual reports of auditing program Promotes and markets energy program options to member districts and new clients Monitors META energy program options as compared to market conditions Works with vendors and consultants to provide communication and savings in energy programs Assists with scheduling, correspondence, and vendor relationships Organizes and schedules sub committees for the review and development of bid specifications and/or decision-making Works with Purchasing Coordinator to keep all quotes, RFP's, and programs current with the purchasing calendar Informs members and sales representatives of business concerns and advises them of META purchasing procedures Assists with special projects as directed Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment.
Performs prescribed activities efficiently with limited supervision Is discreet and recognizes importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling or conveying information obtained in work setting Completes paperwork, audits and reports accurately Verifies and correctly enters data, calculates energy savings with auditing members Performs utility auditing functions and reporting for school districts as contracted.
Assists in oversight of energy programs, communication, meetings, and reports Works cooperatively and amicably with visitors, staff and vendors Assists in the purchasing activities for META which includes involvement in bid and RFP development, vendor relationships and committee assignments to META committees assigned to specific commodity areas Assists in the development of new product offerings for META members by surveying and working with the membership to determine and understand needs Attends workshops, meetings, etc.
as requested QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred Other comparable experience that provides for a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of this position Proficient on applicable computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite applications Detail oriented and ability to interpret data including the ability to compute mathematical data accurately Strong organizational, planning, and project skills Knowledge of laws, ethics, and regulations governing the purchase of energy commodities and services.
Multitasking ability, customer-service focus, and strong diplomacy skills Job Type:
