Typically set up as 3-month contracts, with potential for longer-term based on project needs.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Contractor to join our dynamic team, focusing on retail-facing projects and support within Safelite's retail environment.
This role involves technical analysis of system issues and outages, requiring troubleshooting, resolution, or escalation as needed.
The NOC Contractor will collaborate with on-site technicians and store employees, delivering clear and professional guidance on tasks, next steps, and sign-off procedures in a 24x7x365 environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct technical analysis and troubleshoot system issues and outages in a retail environment.
Collaborate with on-site technicians and store employees, providing clear and professional guidance.
Work in a 24x7x365 environment, adapting shifts as the project schedule moves across time zones.
Utilize expertise in Meraki dashboard, network hardware, Cisco command lines, and protocols.
Install and configure UPS, preferably with APC UPS experience.
Understand VLANs, subnetting, and subnet creation at a high level.
Demonstrate proficiency in telecommunication, internet, or network operation center environments.
Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical associates and technicians, emphasizing a strong customer service approach.
Work with multiple monitoring systems, correlating inputs for immediate resolution actions.
Prioritize action items in a dynamic operational center, receiving direction from multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
Nice to Have:
CCENT, CCNA, or CCNP certification, or 3 years of relevant work experience supporting networks in a retail business model.
Inside Plant Cabling installation and troubleshooting experience.
Understanding of DHCP, DNS, ARP, CDP/LLDP, VLANs, basic IP addressing, and subnetting.
Qualifications:
Experience with Meraki platform is highly desired.
Strong networking skills with a focus on troubleshooting and configuration.
Ability to adapt to a varied shift schedule.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
