Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent with two or more years of claims processing, insurance billing, patient registration and eligibility verification experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with a computerized billing system.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy.
Preferences:
Experience with EPIC; experience in a high volume centralized billing office or clearinghouse.
What will you be doing? What will you be doing? Uses knowledge of invoices, claims, insurance billing and medical terminology in order to complete multiple tasks.
Acts as a liaison between the physician and third parties by resolving edits in order for claims to be filed cleanly.
Updates and resolves patient accounts for billing as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Pre A/R review and verification of correct patient demographics and insurance information, as well as other information related to preparation and processing of patient claims including eligibility coverage verifications on EPIC RTE (Real Time Eligibility) system and/or payor websites.
Researches and resolves missing or conflicting patient demographic information.
General knowledge of Medicaid pending eligibility and process according to company policy.
Submit hardcopy and electronic claims and attach documentation as needed; reviews electronic charts in EPIC system in order to print medical records to be attached to claims or upload to clearinghouse/payer websites.
Resolves claim form edits for missing and/or inaccurate information; including eligibility issues; resolves EDI claim formatting issues.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
