Warehouse Associate Position Reports to:
Warehouse Operations Manager Position
Summary:
As a warehouse associate one will be responsible for the loading, unloading, processing, storing and inventory accuracy.
Essential Functions:
Load and unload trailers with a forklift or pallet jack and safely transporting materials within the trailers and warehouse.
Follow proper SOP's (standard operation procedures).
Utilize warehouse management system to build orders and maintain warehouse inventory.
Communicate effectively using phone and email to ensure customer satisfaction.
Check in drivers upon arrival.
Properly use PPE according to safety.
Conduct accurate yard checks.
Ensure that the storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying.
Prepare and process all paperwork relating to the shipping of orders for customers as well as processing invoices for each delivery.
This involves emailing invoices and other related documents to customers and Billing Department.
If there are any issues with a delivery, warehouse associates will communicate with Warehouse Operations Manager, Customer Service and Customer to resolve the problem and ensure that the orders are fulfilled.
Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
Performs other related duties as needed.
Necessary
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year forklift experience, inventory management system experience preferred, customer service experience preferred, warehouse experience preferred, ability to use Microsoft office suits.
Well organized and self-motivated.
Physical
Qualifications:
Ability to sit for long periods of time; ability to lift, up to 50lbs; and ability to work in both hot and cold weather conditions.
