: Associate's Degree Basic Function: To teach and help coordinate camp's archery and fishing programs, maintaining standards that lead to a quality day camp experience for all involved within the guidelines of the American Camping Association (ACA).

. - Set up area and program for campers during staff training. - Coordinate archery and fishing with other camp activities, projects and games. - Write lesson plans that will foster camper's archery/fishing skills. Supervise campers at archery range and all fishing lakes. - Participate in staff meetings. - Exercise appropriate judgment and act according to procedure/risk management plan in the event of health or other emergency or in the event of other unforeseen incidents. - Be aware of all special needs and concerns of campers, parents and staff. - Inform supervisor(s) of any problems or incidents that might become a concern for parents, campers or staff. - Conduct daily check of equipment in program area for safety, cleanliness and good

. - Submit orders for equipment and supplies when needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials. - Teach and monitor proper use of equipment. - Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork which includes, but not limited to, forms, incident reports, and logs of necessary schedules. - Assist campers with restroom trips and personal care as needed. - Keep records on camper's progress; help them progress from beginner to advanced levels. - Assist in conducting initial and end-of-season inventory, storing and keeping equipment in good condition. - Assist in packing materials and supplies for following season. - Evaluate current season and make suggestions for following season. - Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives. Requirements:- Combination of education and experience normally represented by a High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of college course work in Recreation, Education, Social Work, Psychology or related field. - If driving, must have a verified safe driving record in the State of
ohio
with no greater than four (4) points, and provide a copy of license. Driving record will be obtained through Motor Vehicle Abstract. - Knowledge and understanding of camper information including but not limited to behavioral issues, health concerns and other facts unique to campers. - Knowledge of the growth of children and concern for their emotional, physical, social and spiritual needs. - Must have a minimum of one season of camping experience working with children. - Current certification in First Aid and CPR. - Documented certification in Archery and/or current ACA approved Archery Certification. - Experience in fresh water fishing preferred. - Ability to teach archery and fishing to campers of all ages. - Ability to set up a range, order and repair equipment. - Ability to make quick decisions in life threatening situations. - Flexible and good at working in a team atmosphere. - Willingness to assume multiple roles and job assignments throughout the summer. - Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat and reach above head. - Must be able to life/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. - Must be able to physically assist campers to stand, sit, use restroom and walk. - Desire and ability to work with children outdoors. - Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Must be well organized, detail oriented and ability to maintain confidentiality. - Ability to show patience and courtesy when working with people. - Flexible and good at working in a team atmosphere. - Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
