Short Description:
The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical
development in-house set of web based software products. Leads in ORACLE data
analysis during system migrations.
Complete Description:
This posting for Product Specialist is for an individual
with strengths in ORACLE that will be the main data analysts for data
conversions from legacy system to new enterprise system. This person will be responsible for data
validation, verification, and mapping between the two systems.
Experience of the full software lifecycle from design to
release
o Previous
development exposure/role preferable
o Ability to
utilize Oracle Server with respect to complex querying, table creation and
manipulation and a proven track record especially with a view to importing and
reconciling data according to a series of complex business rules
o Test data
identification & creation
o Assist in
the creation of test cases for other Testers and liaise with users and BA's to
achieve this
o Work closely
with Development manager and BA manager to ensure optimum use of department
resource and project throughput
o Review test
case output and validate where required for other Testers
o Ensures
uniform test coverage throughout the QA of a particular feature to avoid too
many late bugs and ensure completeness of QA cycle
o Ability to perform on-the-fly tests when
needed without the aid of scripts (and script after the event in these
circumstances)
o Establishes
benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times where
possible.
