o Responsible for opening, closing, tracking, and managing trouble tickets.
o Receive, analyze, resolve, direct, and document customer problems according to prescribed procedures.
o Reset user passwords and provide troubleshooting support of applications supported by the DECC-Columbus service desk.
o Assist customers in resolving Microsoft Windows and Open Systems environment application related processing issues.
o Monitor multiple processing environments simultaneously using government provided software monitoring tools.
o Assist customer in the use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) executive support software packages.
o Attempt to resolve computing issues/problems at his/her level and be able to escalate matters beyond his/her
control to the appropriate tiered level support staff and application specialists for resolution assistance.
o Receive and route calls as well as setup conference calls between customers and higher tiered specialists.
o Assist DECC-Columbus in all actual or simulated continuity of operations exercises.
o Identify, track, account for, and properly maintain usage records and store classified materials in accordance with DoD policy.
o Support pre and post production customer requirements as implemented.
o Problem management escalation, tracking, and reporting.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School/GED plus 4-years of experience, or related Associates degree plus 2-years of experience, or related Masters or Bachelor Degree.
Experience with desktop and server environments to include the hardware, operating environment (Microsoft Windows, LINUX, HP UNIX, and/or Solaris), utilities communications, application and executive software.
Ability to operate and maintain computer and communications hardware in both physical and virtual environments.
Ability to track problems and coordinate resolution.
Ability to develop metrics and perform basic trend analysis on the kinds and frequency of faults/problems observed
on DECC-Columbus managed systems.
Good oral and writing communication skills.
DoD 8570 IAT Level I Certification. This is a Network
(CE), A
(CE), GSEC, Security
(CE), SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP, or CISSP certification.
Preferred Skills and Education
ITIL v3 Certification.
Knowledge of network (LAN and WAN) technologies to include switches, routers, and network appliances.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
