The overall focus of the divisional Chief Development Office is to increase the leverage of Technology across JP Morgan Chase by working with and across the firm's business lines to improve the speed of delivery of new business functionality, software enhancements and maintenance. The divisional CDO is responsible for maintaining a culture of continual improvement across a number of application and development projects.
As a scrum master within the Chase Auto Finance - Chief Development Office, this role is responsible for managing the Agile processes and delivery of the Chase Auto Finance technology Teams working on Origination and servicing applications.
As a Scrum Master you are passionate about Agile delivery following Scrum or Kanban methodologies. You guide and mentor the teams to follow the JPMC prescribed Agile methodologies. You drive continuous improvements. This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual cross organizational team without formal direction, and who has senior level interpersonal skills such as influence management, negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills. You will manage the delivery of Chase Auto Finance's products/projects via an agile delivery model. This will include coordinating resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) for multiple agile teams at the same time. You will work with the Product Owner/project team/Business Analysts and the team to manage the backlog. You will track and own impediments, and drive them to resolution via collaboration with other teams and timely escalation to management where needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Play the Scrum Master role for 2-3 Agile teams
Manage the backlogs in Jira in collaboration with the Product Owner and the team members
Track and own resolution of impediments for the teams start to finish
Own and drive delivery of the team according to prioritized backlog
Provide key message, progress, impediments to Program Manager on a weekly basis
Develop slide decks in collaboration with the teams for senior management and Chief Development Office team as needed
Track team performance metrics using JPMC dashboards and leverage data to drive continuous process enhancements/improvements
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline current processes, focus on driving efficiency and improvements in controls.
Collect and store all required compliance artifacts for the project across the project life cycle.
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience and minimum 7
years of experience in information technology preferably with an emphasis on Software Development projects in a highly regulated industry.
Technical understanding of Continuous Delivery (process, tools, scripts)
Technical understand of the Cloud and its impact on Software Development team
Experience with delivering Software Development projects in a highly regulated environment
Experience with Scrum Master role in an Agile/Scrum environment
Proficient creating senior management presentations using MS PowerPoint
Experience managing resources that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse.
Experience with navigating a large organization
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to make complex decisions based on experience, analysis and judgment.
Proficient in Jira and Microsoft Office Suite is a must
Basic understanding of the team deliverables in the area of DevOps and Cloud to drive delivery
