Overview:
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects. The primary duties will be planning the project then executing and controlling the work. The PM is responsible for a major project from $500,000 to $10 million or several smaller projects while ensuring compliance with the Henkels & McCoy Project Management Methodology. This position is accountable for all aspects of a project's success from the initial bidding process, to meeting or exceeding the clients expectations and on through the profitable completion of the job. Additionally, this position provides direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job including resolving issues, managing resources, project coordination, interfacing with client representatives regarding the projects progress, oversight of project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching.
Major Job Elements
Manages overall project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction), coordinating site specific project management or coaching during the initiation and planning phases.
Estimates and contributes to the proposal development including analyzing scope documents and technical writing.
Serves as single-point of contact, establishing, maintaining and managing customer expectations regarding the project performance; assuring effective / timely communication with the client and our team.
Proactively identifies project risk and proactively manages risk throughout the project's lifecycle.
Plans, executes, monitors, controls and continuously works towards successful project closure throughout its lifecycle.
Responsible for tracking (including production, labor & material costs, invoicing, A/R) and reporting of daily operations. Prepares weekly / monthly status reports and performance data as required to internal executive management and external stakeholders.
Attends client meetings and prepares meeting minutes, supports the project schedule creation and updating, documents changes from baseline scope of work.
Responsible for assuring all subcontractors have signed our agreement and provided certificates of insurance.
Manages onsite vendors and subcontractors to ensure level of performance is within scope of PMO expectations.
Develops relationships with local vendors and subcontractors as failsafe contingencies.
Supports the Construction Manager. Works hand in hand with the CM.
Coaches Associate PMs on medium size projects.
Assists in the marketing and business development activities as required.
Qualifications
Must have 5
years of relevant Project Management, Engineering Experience in the utility industry required.
BS degree preferred in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
Electrical construction background desired.
Advanced knowledge and experience in construction industry Project Management Methodology required.
PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge and experience of Contract Administration and Contract Management required.
Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities required.
Experienced in reading RFP's, blueprints, specifications, estimating and proposal preparation.
Proficient in scheduling and software applications (Primavera, MS Project) desired.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communication skills required.
Minimal overnight travel will be required for the successful candidate residing in the Columbus metro area.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
