The Role

· Work with the Sales team to collect and document the scope of the requested quotation / proposal.

· Coordinate all activities required to ensure that all vendor bids are collected, compiled and submitted on time with high quality.

· Review previous project data and work with the Operations team to develop a detailed cost calculation to serve as a basis of our quotation.

· Interface with the Engineering team to have detailed proposal drawings created (as needed) and revised throughout the bid process.

· Work with the Procurement team and directly with vendors to attain quotations for the various elements of the projects.

· Compile and evaluate the cash flow of the project.

· Review and help to negotiate contract terms and conditions.

· Develop the firm offer documentation from standard templates. Must have high attention to detail as these will be contractual, customer facing documents.

· Potentially travel with Sales or Operations team to visit customers to support bid activities.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications

· Minimum 3+ years of Sales, Project Engineering, Project Management, Quoting or other related experience

· Minimum 1+ year experience in formal Bid Preparation

· Experience with industrial equipment, construction or related projects preferred

· Proven experience securing large contracts

· Demonstrating previous exposure to contracts and an understanding of basic contract language

· Demonstrating experience in working with C-Level management (internal and external)

· Must have a bachelor’s degree. Degrees in Business, Accounting or Engineering preferred

· Must have EXCELLENT written and verbal skills.

· Must have and exude and extremely high level of task / project ownership

· Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management abilities to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of 5-10 people.

· Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational & critical thinking skills

· Must have a high sense of urgency

· Must have a strong commercial / sales / marketing sense / business acumen

· Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate at all levels

· Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail

· Must be socially skilled

· Must be able to demonstrate excellent task and time management skills

· Must have excellent proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project as these will be daily tools for creating bid / proposal documentation.

· Cloud Document Storage Software Experience

· Remote Meeting Technology Experience (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, WebEx)

 

Travel Requirements

· 2-4 Days per month US / Canadian

· US Passport Holder

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

· PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred

Company Description

Blast-One International is a leading global supplier to the Abrasive Blasting & Protective Coatings Industry. BlastOne sells Abrasives and sells and rents Surface Preparation & Painting Equipment. BlastOne Industrial Solutions supplies and installs large industrial facilities such as Abrasive Blasting Booths, Spray Painting Booths, Automated Powdercoating Lines, Dust Collectors, etc.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
