DevOps Engineer

Client is looking for Senior DevOps Engineer for one the largest Financial Firms in Columbus, Ohio. This opportunity is for a 6 month contract.

Applicants must have 2+ years of DevOps Engineering experience in an enterprise level environment.

Requirements for the Senior DevOps Engineer:

  • 2+ years of DevOps Engineering experience in an enterprise level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization.
  • Able to execute application software builds & deployments to support applications across the enterprise for both distributed and mainframe applications
  • Develop, maintain and support existing and new scripts to automate existing manual build & deployment procedures as well as the automation of the infrastructure.
  • Implement triggers on source code repositories to assist with continuous integration process.
  • Work with Application Development & Operation teams to understand project specific needs within DevOps core functioning areas and implementations.
  • Coordinate the promotion of: Code to Test, QA, and stage & production environments in support of all roadmap & emergency releases.
  • Work in a fast paced Agile type environment.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards from TFS and Automation tools

Qualifications

Configuration experience with Apache Kafka preferred or other event/data streaming tools

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TravisCI, CircleCI, Teamcity, ConcourseCI, BOSH or other similar tools

Experience with RedHat OpenShift or other containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with version control repositories

Extensive experience with more than one of these scripting languages is required - PowerShell, Ant, Shell, Ruby, Jython & Python scripting for automation

Experience with microservices such as RESTful Services, GraphQL, or Micro Frameworks (Flask, Bottle, Sinatra, express.js)

Must have experience with containers and container orchestration. Openshift Container Platform preferred. Open to Kuberentes and Docker as well.

Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms./

Required Skills : - IBM RedHat - Implementing Open Shift - Kafka - They want someone that can help configure and tune OpenShift and Kafka - Containerization SMEs? Yes - Essentially an On-Prem Cloud solution - Devops person with decent containerization experience with Kafka - Decent understand of CI/CD process

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
