Call Center Medical Customer Service Agents

Arcadia Recovery Bureau an Annuity Health Company continues to expand and is immediately looking to hire multiple Customer Service Agents at our Columbus, OH branch location.


Position Purpose: This position is responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls while maintaining and updating client accounts.


Essential Functions:


  • Responding to high volume of inbound consumer phone calls as well as making outbound phone calls to consumers.

  • Confirming consumer identity by assessing name, date of birth (DOB), Social Security Number (SSN), address, phone number and/or e-mail.

  • Notating the consumer accounts based on services provide through the GUI system.

  • Credit and debit payment processing for account balances.

  • Arrangement of payment plans for consumers.

  • Negotiating settlements for consumer accounts.

  • Updating status of account based on their balance and account activity.

  • Smart coding processing on assigned accounts.

  • Data entry such as demographics (name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc.) and insurance information.

  • Assessing consumer information and determining financial status for proper determination of financial profile.

  • Analysis of debt amounts and reaching a proper conclusion in the consumer account.

  • Investigative reporting on consumer accounts by researching linked consumer accounts.

  • Monthly achievement of targeted payment collections.

  • Transferring phone calls to appropriate department based on consumer needs.

  • Processing of itemized bill request.

  • Responding to consumer inquiries on their accounts.

  • Validating debt accounts with consumers.

  • Compliance of HIPAA Privacy Rules by maintaining protected written, oral, or electronic health information confidential.

  • Compliance of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) by not utilizing abusive, unfair, or deceptive practices during collections.

  • Actively participate in continuous training with our trainers through Arcadia Academy.

  • Effective communication through verbal and written format with all members of departments.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  1. Abide to all company policies and confidentiality regulations

  2. Compliance of HIPAA and FDCPA regulations

  3. Ability to multi-task

  4. Computer knowledge

  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

  6. Accurate and timely data input

  7. Ability to type at least 30 WPM or more

  8. Ability to follow discretion

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
