Scoutosity is currently recruiting for a direct-hire Maintenance Technician position in the Columbus, OH.


Job Description


The Maintenance Technician will assure that all production machinery and equipment are capable of maintaining a continuous stable production to meet customer production schedules and quality requirements through preventive maintenance and repair.


Job Responsibilities


  • Perform building, equipment and electrical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures during production
  • Test all repairs and installations for functionality
  • Implement Preventative Maintenance Measures
  • Complete equipment changeovers in accordance with the production schedule
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested
  • Mechanical- troubleshooting/preventative maintenance with industrial processing, packaging, peripheral plant equipment.
  • Pneumatic-cylinders/valves/compressors
  • Hydraulic- cylinders/valves/etc

Job Requirements


  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanics, including motors, gears, belts, bearings, and couplings
  • Understanding of pneumatic, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and solenoids
  • Knowledge of basic welding, and fabrication
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Experience in the meat or dairy manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience with filling systems, PLCs, and Motor Controls preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
