Engineering Technician (Civil)

To qualify for an Engineering Technician (Civil), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. For current and former Federal civilian service employees, to qualify for the GS-11 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. For all other applicants, to qualify for the GS-11 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-10 grade level or equivalent in the military or private sector. For current and former Federal civilian service employees, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. For all other applicants, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-08 grade level or equivalent in the military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Assisting in basic engineering design, participating in engineering projects, reviewing applicable guidance for relevance to assigned tasks GS-08:
Assisting in engineering design, participating and assisting in engineering projects, reviewing applicable guidance for relevance to assigned tasks. GS-11:
GS-09:
Assisting in designing civil engineering type projects, assisting in managing project timelines and milestones, reviewing engineering projects for adherence to applicable guidance. GS-10:
Planning and designing civil engineering type projects, managing project timelines and milestones, ensuring engineering projects stay within audit guidelines. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
