Major Duties:
Establishes and maintains general ledger, control and subsidiary accounts which involve all types of class and inter related Develops worksheets to prove the accuracy and completeness of adjusted entries Prepares statements, reports, schedules, and comparative analyses for accounts with extensive supporting schedules, subdivisions, intermediate summaries and frequent and varied adjustments to balance and reconcile them Prepares reports and statements that reflect account relationships Receives, reviews, analyzes, classifies, and reconciles transactions, and commitment and obligation documents Prepares invoices and other fiscal items for payment Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-08 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-8 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Examining, verifying, and maintaining financial accounts and accounting data and classifies accounting transactions including the verification of the accuracy and completeness of the accounting data; Receiving and analyzing various types of documents to determine propriety, validity budget, expenditure limits, completeness and correctness of accounting data; Computes cost of travel allowances and advises prospective travelers of available and most suitable routes and accommodations; and Computes and verifies transportation, mileage, and subsistence costs related to travel authorizations. Physical Requirements:
The work is principally sedentary, in a highly automated environment. It is usually accomplished while seated at a desk or table. Some work may require walking in an office or warehouse setting. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences. Incumbent may be required to carry small file boxes into storage, lot a cash box, carry light items or drive a motor vehicle. Typocal safety precautions, such as pulling file drawers, dropping equipm,ent, ect., are to be ovserved. Electrical safety precautions must be ovserved in working around computers. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
