Training Instructor

Major Duties:
Serves as the primary training instructor for the PMDB Program at the VACOHCS. Maintains competency with the PMDB curriculum, per national standards. Serves as the primary training instructor for the Stop the Bleed training program at the VACOHCS. Coordinates all aspects of the PMDB and Stop the Bleed Programs, including scheduling, tracking compliance, and reporting. Serves as a training instructor for multiple education programs including, but not limited to, New Employee Orientation. Develops systems for obtaining customer feedback and learning intervention effectiveness. Provides administrative support for facility-level training programs, including Whole Health, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and the Administrative Skills Program. Coordinates all aspects of the LEAF electronic routing system for the facility. Assists the Education Service with administrative functions such as filing, inventory management, and meeting minutes. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Instructing in Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior. Administering a training program. Reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Bachelor's Degree in Education to meet GS-7 without experience. Education:
Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond Undergraduate and Graduate Education:

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary, but does require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching and carrying objects such as boxes of instructional materials or training documentation. Work often involves talking for long periods of time and long periods of interaction at computer terminals. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
