Prepares test plans and testing methodologies based on documented requirements and interviews with Project Management, business partners, and development teams.
Maintains QA Testing Calendar and manages release schedules.
Provides cost and timeline estimates to project teams for QA resources.
20Partners cross functionally in the design, development, testing and implementation phases of assigned projects.
Attends Design Document review sessions and provides feedback on functional specifications.
Reviews and provides feedback on documentation going to users on new applications / releases.
Coordinates with outside vendors, including development partners, and banking and financial institutions, on needed testing and certifications.
Provides third level functional support and training to Technology Solutions Center and cross-functional partners as needed.
25Creates and executes detailed test scripts.
Tracks and communicates application errors in a clear and concise manner.
Analyzes results, draws conclusions from test results and make recommendations for resolution.
Ensures no defective products are released into production.
Ensures we stay SOX complaint from a systems testing perspective.
Ensures accurate status reporting for projects to Technology and Business leadership.
10Maintains lower environments for testing, including updating and maintaining data files, coordinating testing with UAT Testers, managing testing materials, and communicating hardware and software needs to other IT application teams.
Works closely with Enterprise Release Management team on Release Management processes, roles, and responsibilities.
Coordination, assistance, and communication of test environment build requirements 25Assigns tasks to Quality Assurance team.
Provides coaching and training to QA Analysts, including mentoring, one-on-ones, and formal performance evaluations.
Interviews candidates for open roles and provides direction for onboarding new associates.
Manages personnel activities for all team members including career development, delegation, mentoring, motivating, performance reviews, and hiring.
Job RequirementsEssential Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree7-10 years of experience in software quality assurance 5-7 years supervisory experience in software quality assuranceExperience in retail industry, Ecommerce focus a plus.
Experience in Agile development environment, including test-driven developmentAbility to build and execute test plans and estimate testing effort for cross functional projectsExperience with testing and troubleshooting web and mobile applications (iOS and Android)Experience with creating and executing functional automated tests and/or development efforts for a complex, high throughput system Ability to understand business processes and integration of those processes into the systems to ensure complete end to end testing of softwareProven problem solving, training, organizational, and analytical skillsOrganizational and coordination skillsReporting status to Technology and Business leadership Ability to clearly communicate to business users, IT development groups, and external vendorsTechnical Skills:
Experience testing Web, XML, SQL, REST API, JavaScript based UIs and Container stacksExperience diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving quality issuesExperience using Quality Assurance software, such as Jira, HP ALM, SmartBear ALM Complete, or equivalent.
Experience using application performance monitoring tools such as Solar Winds and New Relic to assess the test script resultsPreferred RequirementsExperience with Ecommerce systems and processesSelf-motivated, collaborative, and have a proven track record of leading successful teams focused on delivery.
