Vehicle Description Cruisin Classics is proud to present the newest addition to our showroom - this incredible survivor 1977 Volkswagen Beetle with only 2 owners and 28,818 actual miles! 1977 was the last year for the Beetle Sedan in America and only 12,090 were produced, making this a pretty rare bug.
The original owner bought the car here in Columbus the day after her retirement and drove it sparingly around the neighborhood until 2019 when the second owner took possession.
The second owner only put about a thousand miles on it during their tenure.
We even have the original title, bill of sale, deposit slip, owners manual, and warranty card! This VW presents very well in it's original Viper Green Metallic paint with just a few small flaws.
There is no rust to be found on this bug and the floor pans and running boards are in excellent condition.
There are several optional chrome trim pieces including the front air vent cover, rear intake vents, and front trunk handle.
The chrome on the car is in overall excellent condition with the exception of the window trim accents which are showing some age.
We do have brand new chrome window trim replacements in the trunk waiting to be installed by the next caretaker.
The glass is in very good condition including the flat front window.
The Beetle rolls down the road on stock VW Rally wheels with beauty rings and newer tires.
Behind the rear trunk lid lies the original fuel injected 1.
6 liter 1585cc 4 cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
The engine is quite clean and fires up at the drop of a hat.
At 48 hp it may not be quick, but it starts every time and runs so quiet that you'll find yourself questioning if it's even running.
This bug sports only 1 tailpipe as VW had begun using catalytic converters by this point in their history.
Pop open the drivers door to find an original interior in very good condition.
The seats are upholstered in tobacco brown leatherette vinyl and have a few minor imperfections as seen in the photos.
The black carpet is in exceptional shape and stays nice under the woven tan floormats that create a really good look.
This car was ordered with a radio delete so you'll notice there's no stereo, speakers, nor antenna.
Other interior features include rear defrost, 2-speed wipers, and 2-speed fan motor.
Under the front hood you'll find a full sized spare, new rubber door gaskets ready to be installed, and the afore-mentioned chrome window trim pieces.
If it's a VW Beetle you're after you really won't want to pass this one by.
It looks great, runs great, and has a lifetime of driving fun yet to be had! Engine 1.
